This isn't Once Upon A Time In The West.. This is pulp entertainment that is closer to the Zatoichi series in that you could easily see ten sequels featuring the Django character entering towns and outsmarting the folks within - along with a coffin full of gun.

But you're right that Django would make for a heck of a remake in the right hands - John Hillcoat would be a fun choice.Doug Tilleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17291634680094221868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7295641698816483686.post-35875784955386697142011-02-08T11:10:15.757-05:002011-02-08T11:10:15.757-05:00I really found DJANGO less entertaining than a mov...I really found DJANGO less entertaining than a movie about a guy dragging a gatling gun-loaded coffin around should be.

Corbucci's protagonists often weren't as sleazy-looking as they should have been. Leone has him there, as well.

THE GREAT SILENCE really is good, though. Corbucci's movies are exactly the type of films that should be remade--they're usually failed attempts at something different and potentially great, that never quite live up to it.Bradhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10638457313380556662noreply@blogger.com
